About Lido

For years we traveled to Sicily and enjoyed Italian Summers on foothills of Taormina. Lido La Pigna is a family beach club on a pebble beach in a quaint cove in the Ionian Sea. On most sunny days you can see the mainland of Calabria. 

Spring gives way to the smell of summer and EVERYONE reserves their spot at their favorite LIDO. 

There are hundreds of Lidos throughout Italy and its the place where Italians and Europeans rejuvenate the body and soul. 

Time stands still at the Lido and for Tony and I, it seems change has been kind to this little cove, feeling the same as it did in the 70's and 80's when the Wright's made the trip every weekend, to Mazzaro Beach.
